Barbara Hafner

Barbara was born in Wisconsin and raised in several states coast-to-coast and abroad. Her Fine Art and art history education are from the University of South Dakota. Additional studies in painting have been with nationally known artists, Jove Wang, Carolyn Anderson, Don Ward, Kenn Backhaus, Dan Gouzee, Romel de la Torre. She is an awarded member of the American Impressionist Society, and a member of Oil Painters of America and the California Art Club. She holds a degree in Interior Design from Harper College, Illinois.
The artist especially enjoys painting "our own time," everyday Americana, farm scenes, children, beach scenes and landscapes from traveling in the western states. "I paint what I know... the magic of daily life and the infinite variety of expression in the human form." She also works from the figure model and has completed many commissioned portraits.
